Today we went to Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden In Greensboro, North Carolina. We REALLY loved it. It was a hot day but the trees made natural shade all around the garden so we never felt too hot. It is pet friendly and they had several water fountains for pups, Ralia loved that idea!
We saw a lot of different plants and bushes; some had bright flowers still. We were so impressed that they had a lot of benches all around and they were tucked in and were in quiet places. It would be a great place to bring a book and find a secluded bench and spend they day in nature lost in a book! We even saw one person who brought a hammock and was relaxing in it!
There were also a lot of cool statues around the garden.
Ralia’s favorite part was the water wheel. We just learned about water wheels in history last week and she made a water wheel at home. So, when she saw this one, she was amazed to see a real one. It was beautiful and you could walk behind it to see the inside and how it works. It was a nice educational piece! We even saw some wild life around the gardens.
We ended our trip with a picnic. There were a lot of picnic benches under trees. It was nice to be outside enjoying the weather. We all agreed we would love to go back!
