One of Salam’s favorite things to do it watch the barges. He is amazed at how big they are 😀 So, we decided to take an afternoon and hike up to an overlook and sit and watch for barges. It’s relaxing, free, and gets us out of the house! Being up so high, we get a different view of the river in all directions. We wanted to share some of our favorite images of the Illinois River. I couldn’t find any pictures of the barges. I think Salam looks at them while Ralia and I wander around snapping pictures of other things….ooops!
