The Alamo in San Antonio, Texas

We are in San Antonio for the next few days so we are trying to go sightseeing at a few touristy places.

The Alamo was our first stop. It is free to walk around and has a lot of history. The original building dates back to the 1800s! We even got lucky and saw the Alamo cat. I guess there is a wild cat who decided to call the Alamo home. She generally stays at the office but when we were there, she was out wondering the grounds, which according to staff, is rare for her to do!

It is definitely worth checking out if you are in the San Antonio area!
