Jonathan Dickinson State Park

We will be staying at the campground in Jonathan Dickinson State Park soon so we went to check it out first. It is a very large Park with a lot to do! There are actually 2 RV parks inside the park, one with full hook ups and another without sewer and better for smaller RVs. They have a welcome center with a large parking lot.

They also have ‘cabin’ rentals that allow you to stay inside the park without having an RV.

One of the many rentals available

They also have Kayak rentals, launch sites, horseback riding, mountain bike trails, and hiking trails. There are also lots of wildlife within the park. We saw so many turtles while we were there! We couldn’t believe how many were along the road.

Finally, we walked up to the observation tower. It gives you a beautiful view of the park, inlet and ocean.

We caught a dragon fly in the picture!
